Terms and Policies
General Information
The following terms and policies apply to all programs, activities, and services offered by S.Au.S. (Soutien Autisme et Services) in Candiac and Montreal’s South Shore. By registering for an activity, you agree to abide by all S.Au.S. guidelines designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of all participants, parents, and staff.
Friends of S.Au.S. Memberships
Membership covers two parents and a maximum of two children.
Any additional children require an additional membership.
Registration Requirements

Pre-approval required: Please note that this online registration system lists all of our activities, but parents must first apply and receive approval before registering.

A valid Friends of S.Au.S. Membership is required for all registrations.

⚠️ Registrations made without prior permission will be cancelled, and a $15 administrative fee will be deducted.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Participants must be handed directly to an S.Au.S. staff, teacher or volunteer for all programs and activities.

Failure to comply will result in the child’s removal from the activity without refund.

If someone other than a parent is picking up the participant, written or verbal consent from a parent must be provided.

Parents must be available to pick up their child within 10 minutes of being contacted by an S.Au.S. employee in case of emergencies or aggressive behavior.

Parents and siblings are not permitted to remain in the classroom during the activity unless other stated such as Open Gym, Family Swim etc.
Health and Safety

Parents and participants must follow all health protocols established by S.Au.S., including those related to COVID-19 and other illnesses.

If a child is ill (for example, fever or vomiting), they cannot attend the activity.

Parents must inform S.Au.S. of any allergies or medical conditions.

If the child carries an EpiPen, parents must notify S.Au.S. and ensure the participant has it during all activities.

For activities requiring it, participants must bring a change of clothes, diapers if applicable, and indoor shoes (especially during fall and winter).

Bringing a nut-free snack and juice or water bottle is optional.

Arrive 5 minutes before class begins. Late arrivals will not be admitted to prevent disruption.

Participants must remain in the designated area during activities and must not leave the premises without supervision.

S.Au.S. cannot be held responsible for injuries that occur during activities.

S.Au.S. reserves the right to refuse service in cases of repeated disruption or aggressive behavior by a participant. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.

Verbal or physical abuse toward S.Au.S. staff, teachers, or volunteers by parents or guardians will not be tolerated and may result in immediate cancellation of participation without refund.
Refunds and Cancellations

Due to the high demand for our programs, once the first week of the course has begun, no refunds will be issued.

Registration represents a commitment for the full duration of the activity, and guarantees your child’s spot.

No transfers between activities are possible.

Friends of S.Au.S. Memberships are non-refundable.

If a class is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (such as weather, elections, or facility closures), the session will be postponed to a later date.

Activity cancellations will be posted on our Facebook page. Please check this page when weather conditions are poor.

In the event of a pandemic or government shutdown, S.Au.S. reserves the right to determine whether refunds for remaining sessions will be issued.
Photography and Media

By participating in an S.Au.S. program, parents acknowledge and agree that photos and/or videos may be taken during sessions and may be used for promotional purposes related to S.Au.S. (website, social media, newsletters, etc.).

A $20 fee applies for N.S.F. (non-sufficient funds) cheques.

Online payments: Participants may also pay securely through the S.Au.S. online registration portal when registering for an activity.
Donations and Refund Policy

Donations made to S.Au.S. support our programs and services for autistic individuals and their families.

Donations are non-refundable, except in cases of proven clerical or processing error (for example, duplicate payment or incorrect amount).

Refund requests must be made within 30 days of the donation date.

S.Au.S. complies with Quebec’s charitable giving regulations and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines governing the refund of charitable gifts.

Where a refund is issued, the original official donation receipt must be cancelled and returned before the refund can be processed.

Donations made via Zeffy and Canada helps are subject to terms and conditions provided by said platforms.
Important Notice
The safety and well-being of participants and staff are our top priorities. S.Au.S. maintains a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful or aggressive behavior toward our team. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping create a positive and inclusive environment for all.
