Overview:
Teen Club is a social program for autistic youth aged 13 to 21 who need moderate to significant support. Created to reflect the evolving needs and interests of teenagers, it provides a relaxed, inclusive space where participants can connect with peers while enjoying activities suited to their age group. Each session includes six meetings between September to December and January to April, with a holiday celebration in the fall session.

Benefits:
Just like their neurotypical peers, autistic teens want to spend time with friends and explore their independence. However, social interaction can often feel overwhelming. Teen Club offers the right structure and support to help participants gain comfort in social settings while developing communication skills, self-confidence, and friendships. Group activities such as board games, puzzles, and cooking encourage teamwork and interaction, while community outings provide real-world practice in navigating social spaces.

Structure:
The program alternates between in-office gatherings in Candiac and community outings such as bowling. This mix allows participants to build comfort in familiar settings and gradually extend their skills to public environments. The fall session ends with a festive semi-formal dinner and Christmas party, giving teens the chance to celebrate their progress and achievements together.

Rules/Requirements:

*Each session includes three meetings at the S.Au.S. office and three outings in the community.

*The fall session includes a holiday dinner and semi-formal celebration.
