Adapted Play
Open Gym

Overview:
Adapted Play Open Gym is a free, 13-week program offered to “Friends of S.Au.S.” members. Families are invited to spend Sunday mornings in a safe and welcoming space where children can enjoy open play alongside their parents and siblings. With monitors and volunteers on site, the atmosphere is structured yet relaxed, encouraging families to play and connect together.
Benefits:
The program supports physical development by improving gross motor skills, coordination, and muscle tone. At the same time, it fosters interpersonal skills, confidence, and positive social experiences. Open play also promotes self-esteem, reduces stress, and provides a joyful outlet for energy and creativity.
Structure:
Sessions are guided by S.Au.S. staff and/or volunteers. Parents remain directly involved, giving families the chance to share quality time while building community connections with other parents who understand similar experiences.
Rules/Requirements:
*Parents are required to remain on site during the activity.
*Children must never be left unattended.
*Free for “Friends of S.Au.S.” members – no registration required.
*A valid membership card must be presented upon arrival.
*Members are asked to sign in when attending.
