
COOKING CLUB

Overview:
Cooking Club is a semi-private program created for autistic adolescents aged 16 to 21 who need moderate to significant support. It provides a structured, welcoming space where participants can discover the joys of cooking while building independence and friendships.
Benefits:
Through guided lessons, participants develop important life skills such as reading and following recipes, measuring ingredients, and preparing meals. The program also strengthens fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, and teamwork. Cooking together encourages social participation, reduces isolation, and gives every participant a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
Structure:
Sessions are led in a supportive environment with small group sizes to ensure personalized guidance. The emphasis is on building confidence through practical cooking activities that participants can carry into their daily lives.
Rules/Requirements:
*Participants should bring a container each week to take home what they’ve cooked.
