Overview:
Our Music Therapy is a 12-week program offered twice a year, beginning in September and January. Designed as a semi-private group, it is tailored for autistic children and teens who need moderate to significant support.
Benefits:
Led by a certified and experienced music therapist, sessions use instruments, rhythm, and song to encourage communication, self-expression, and emotional regulation. Music provides a structured yet flexible outlet for creativity, helping participants build confidence, reduce stress, and form meaningful connections.
Structure:
Classes are facilitated by a therapist accredited by the Canadian Association for Music Therapy and a member of both the Québec and Canadian Music Therapy Associations. With more than 15 years of experience working within the autistic community she creates a reassuring, predictable structure while encouraging exploration and discovery.
Rules/Requirements:
*This is a semi-private program.
*New participants must complete an interview with the music therapist before being admitted.
*Admission is not guaranteed.
